Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is "a movement that unleashes the power of radical generosity around the world". After the hustle and bustle of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday provides us with a moment to reflect and to give back to our community. This Giving Tuesday DharmaCrafts is proud to be partnering with Less Leg More Heart, a nonprofit organization committed to spreading hope and decreasing suffering for people afflicted with new disability.
Less Leg More Heart founder, Tina Hurley, was diagnosed with a rare vascular disorder that resulted in the amputation of her leg. Tina's experience opened her eyes to the lack of support systems that exist for the newly disabled, and she set out to ensure that amputees have peer mentorship, medical advocacy, funding for holistic approaches to care, and funding for services in the home.
Along the way, Tina also found mindfulness.
Since 1979, the Buddhist and mindfulness meditation community has relied on DharmaCrafts for quality meditation supplies. It is our honor to provide cushions and supplies to support the mindfulness practice of Tina, as well as our community as a whole.
We will be donating 20% off all sales on Giving Tuesday to Less Leg More Heart, and we encourage our customers to consider donating as well.
