Wendy, in marketing & operations, picked The Hidden Lamp, a collection of 100 stories of awakened women. Each story is accompanied by a reflection from a female Buddhist teacher. A great summer read, because each section is only 2-3 pages long!
Jackie, the Office Manager, wanted a refresher on the basics of meditation and picked Real Happiness. Sharon Salzberg packs 30 years worth of experience into a 28-day guidebook on everything from posture to breathing to dealing with pain and distraction.
John, the Warehouse Manager, picked Man of Peace, a fun way to learn more about politics and history, and H.H. the Dalai Lama as a young man. It's a beautifully illustrated graphic novel and very educational at the same time.
Digital Marketing Manager, Michelle reminds us that the tranquil poetry and illustrations of Breathe and Be can be enjoyed at any age.
Simone in Customer Service picked How to Free Your Mind. Her meditation group is reading it this summer and they have all committed to six months of Green Tara practice. This easy-to-read book discusses who Tara is, the benefits of a Tara practice, and Tibetan Buddhism basics.
