Bronze Modern Buddha Statue

In this large sitting Buddha statue, he is dressed in simple robes and features a solid, sleek bronze finish. The most prominent detail is his exceptionally long ear lobes - an element commonly seen in depictions of the Buddha.

According to the story of Buddha's life, he was born a prince born in a wealthy family and lived a life of opulence, which included wearing fine jewelry and heavy earrings that stretched his ears. Eventually, he chose to sacrifice his material lifestyle in search of a true meaning to life. After attaining enlightenment, Buddha's stretched earlobes came to be a symbolic reminder of his past that he left behind in favor of his awakened path.
