Tongue cleaning is an ancient Ayurveda ritual for maintaining oral hygiene, removing toxins, and stimulating digestion.
Use the tongue cleaner each morning to set your digestion for the day and stimulate your internal organs while promoting oral health. The tongue is cleansed every morning on an empty stomach prior to teeth brushing or oil pulling.
1. Relax and extend the tongue
2. Hold both sides of the tongue scraper, reaching to the back of the tongue where it is comfortable. Gently pull the cleaner toward the front of the tongue picking up the coating sitting on top of the tongue.
3. After each pull rinse off in warm water and repeat 5 - 10 times.
Tongue should not bleed or hurt from this process. Use a lighter grip or apply less pressure if you feel pain.
Follow tongue cleaning with teeth brushing. If you follow an oil pulling routing - conduct oil pulling after cleaning the tongue.
