Dzi beads, sometimes known as Tibetan agate beads, are an enigmatic, auspicious element in Himalayan culture. The eye-like design found on the typical dzi bead is believed to ward off evil spirits and negative energy while attracting fortune and prosperity. Varieties of Tibetan dzi beads have been found that date back to ancient times, but their exact origins are uncertain. They are typically hand carved from banded agate to be used in mala beads, amulets, and even traditional Tibetan medicine.

Black onyx  is recognizable for its rich, solid black coloration and smooth, glossy finish. Black onyx beads are durable - just like the abilities this black gemstone grants the wearer. This black gemstone is said to provide vigor and emotional stability while shielding the wearer from negativity.
