This Buddha has his hands in the position called the 'Teaching Mudra'. The thumb and index finger touch, forming a circle. This is symbolic of the "Wheel of Teaching". The touching fingers can be thought to symbolize staying in the center and to observe; to not react to the ever-changing conditions of our lives. From that still point we can see things as they actually are. Add him to your Zen garden, meditation space, or wherever you may contemplate Buddha's teachings.
Material: Lava stone sand from the sacred volcano Gunung Agung on Bali, bonded with concrete. The color is a water based eco paint suitable for outside. The finish will change slowly over time with exposure to rain and sun.
