Tara Statues

Tara is a female Buddha and significant Buddhist goddess in the 3 major branches of Buddhism (Mahayana, Theravada, and Vajrayana/ Tibetan).

As the female counterpart of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, Goddess Tara is known for her compassion, love, and motherly spirit. Tara is said to have 21 forms, with Green Tara as her central form. Each of these iterations comes in one of 5 colors (blue, green, white, yellow, or red) and possesses unique spiritual attributes. White Tara is another one of her most powerful forms, and is associated with purity and healing.
